Executive Director Speaks in Savannah
Mary Adams Anthony recently attended the Family Foundations Forum of the Southeastern Council of Foundations, held in Savannah, Georgia. She participated in the panel discussion, Historic Preservation: Philanthropy’s Impact in the Southern Region, which was moderated by Daniel Carey, the president of the Historic Savannah Foundation (HSF). Other panelists were Dr. Jeff Eley, a professor from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Department of Historic Preservation, and Jeff Kole, a board member of HSF. Discussion centered on the impact, economic and otherwise, of historic properties redevelopment investment on communities, with HSF’s local preservation work providing an example of a successful program.
