Tenant Farmhouse (Coggeshall Farm Museum)

The 1772 Foundation and Preserve Rhode Island have awarded thirteen historic preservation one-for-one matching grants totaling $100,000. Grants were provided for exterior work, such as painting; surface restoration; fire/security systems; repairs to/restoration of chimneys, porches, roofs, and windows; repairs to foundations and sills; and masonry repointing. Individual grants ranged from $3,000 to $9,500, with five organizations receiving the latter amount. Grants also were awarded in each of the other five New England states.
